We want every guest to feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they arrive.
A dedicated parking lot is located right next to our building for visitor use.
Two accessible parking spaces are available directly in front of the building.
A drop-off zone at the front door makes it easy to unload supplies or assist guests.
Our building is all on one level, with two wheelchair-accessible entrances. The front entrance offers the smoothest access and is recommended for guests with mobility concerns.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own food, drinks, and cake. We just ask that you clean up afterward and take home any leftovers.
Is there a kitchen?
Yes—there are two options:
A small kitchenette (included with the meeting room) has a sink, coffee pot, cups, and basic supplies—perfect for serving snacks or drinks.
A full commercial kitchen is also available for rent. This space is designed for cooking and food prep, but requires ServeSafe certification.
Do I need ServeSafe certification?
Only if you're renting the commercial kitchen. The kitchenette in the meeting room does not require certification.
Can I serve alcohol?
Yes, but you must purchase event liability insurance. We recommend The Event Helper, where coverage typically starts around $100.
Can I set up decorations?
Absolutely! Please avoid damage by using only removable tape (like blue painter’s tape) or command hooks. All decorations must be taken down after your event.
How early can I set up?
You may set up during your paid rental time. If you need more time for prep or cleanup, include that time when booking.
Do you offer tech or AV equipment?
In the Main Hall, we have:
A 75-inch smart TV (AirPlay-enabled with HDMI hookup)
A JBL Party Box speaker with Bluetooth compatibility and two wireless microphones
The Meeting Room includes a large whiteboard and dry-erase markers. Feel free to bring your own tech or laptop if needed.
What are the rental fees?
All fees are flat rates per event, not hourly. Discounts are available for nonprofits and members.
Meeting Room: $25/event
Main Hall: $100/event
Commercial Kitchen: $50/event (ServeSafe required)
Can I rent multiple rooms?
Yes! You can rent any combination of spaces. Each is priced separately.
How do I know if my requested date is available?
Submit the rental request form and we’ll follow up to confirm availability based on our calendar.
How do I pay?
Most renters pay on the day of the event when picking up the key (cash or check preferred).
Invoices are available for frequent renters or organizations.
Where do I pick up the key?
You’ll receive key pickup instructions once your booking is confirmed.
Do you have signage to help advertise my event?
Yes! We have two sidewalk signs (on wheels) that hold 24" x 36" posters. Posters can be printed at the Ely Echo in the correct size, and we can help you create a document that fits perfectly. Regular paper works fine — the signs will protect it from the weather.
Will the Ely Community Center help promote my event?
If you tell us about your event’s Facebook post, we’ll share it on our page to help spread the word.
Can you recommend caterers?
Yes — we have a short list of local caterers we can share if you’d like food at your event.
